BULLIES

The Realtors in San Mateo County believe that it is legal to enter an occupied apartment, rented by a person who is hiding from an ex-husband, and photograph the private apartment and then post the photos on the internet in order to sell the apartment building.

THIS IS ILLEGAL, even if the tenant is NOT an abuse victim. Let me tell you why. 

ALL citizens of the United States of America have the right to privacy in their own homes. This was decided by the US Supreme Court in the sodomy case out of Alabama, I think.

TENANTS are the persons who control the property they rent. THIS IS VERY ANCIENT BRITISH COMMON LAW, still effective today. Landlords have limited rights to enter a rented apartment in order to INSPECT AND REPAIR ONLY.

MY WAITRESS KNEW MORE landlord tenant law than you stupid yuppies who are allowing this to happen to you.

THE LANDLORDS IN THIS CASE ARE REALLY NICE PEOPLE. They just believe that their agents know the law. Obviously, they are wrong about that.

The real estate company who did this is DOA Property, hereafter known as Dead On Arrival Properties.

The supervising agent I asked to fix the problem is Steve Hicks 650-670-4064. The agent who walked into the home without knocking is Wendy 650-596-1000. I do not know the name of the photographer whom I had to push out of the apartment when he would not leave after I requested that he leave.

KEY ADVICE. When you move into an apartment, change the locks. If your lease does not permit this, wait until the landlord enters without your permission, THEN CHANGE THE LOCKS. This plan requires that you be present during all repairs. Those who live in poor neighborhoods should change their locks RIGHT AWAY upon moving in, no matter WHAT THE LEASE SAYS. 

I will be attempting to set up a company that will provide legal services to people who want to stand up for their rights.

Those of you in Santa Clara County and San Mateo County should be careful about pissing off your landlord. THE COURTS IN THESE COUNTIES DO NOT OBEY THE LAW.
