Yes, the US Supreme Court wants the congressional districts drawn fairly. This does NOT mean that you can draw them so that they are long, thin districts covering parts of San Jose and Monterey.

- Pamela Smith
- I been an attorney since 1973. First, I was a legal aid attorney on what was then the Papago Indian Reservation near Tucson, Arizona. I had a private practice in Tucson, was an assistant corporate counsel in Berkeley, California, had a private practice in Berkeley, and was Corporate Counsel and Executive Vice President of Minimax Research Corporation, a consulting company in Berkeley. I had a part-time law practice out of a storefront in Campbell, California. I now have an office in San Jose, California.
I went to law school at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona. I am a licensed California attorney. From 1973 until 1987, I was known as Pamela S. Lance.
