Unions are the best protection that police officers have. Many criminals complain about a police officer in order to get an informed, trained investigator to be ordered off a particular case.
Teachers have the "mother bear" problem. (All parents have an instinct to protect their children.) My friend would have been fired for a normal chemistry experiment, because a "mother bear" parent was frightened. He was saved by his union.
Government clerks can be targeted by citizens with political agendas.
My guess is that those brilliant US Supreme Court Justices have never been falsely accused of a crime. To have your employment terminated due to a false accusation is devastating to the person and the organization. Federal judges do not need unions as they have lifetime appointments to prevent threats to get them fired.
It is worrisome that this union busting is aimed at silencing the unions at a time when corporations are giving millions to PACs.

I believe that revolutionaries want a better life for themselves and their children. Unions are one of the best ways to protect employees from selfish employers. Unions also offer a clear method for dialog between employer and employee.
I have been frightened about the growing gap between the rich and the gainfully employed. Personally, I think that a teacher should be paid enough to support a family of four while being able to buy a home in the district where they teach.
This UNION BUSTING campaign by the selfishly rich is BAD for the society we call the USA.
